Biographies

Donald J. Grandis, M.D.

Dr. Grandis trained in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular diseases at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is board certified in both specialties. He also has a special certification in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He performs cardiac catheterizations, coronary angioplasties and transesophageal echocardiograms. His special interest is in the effects of air quality on cardiovascular health.


Daniel A. Rubin, M.D.

Dr. Rubin completed his general cardiology training at the University of Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital in 1993. His is published in several medical journals and is board certified in internal medicine, general cardiology and interventional cardiology. He currently serves as cardiac catheterization lab director at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He maintains active interests in coronary physiology, the treatment of coronary and peripheral vascular disease and the treatment of acute myocardial infarction.


Pankaj Mohan, M.D.

Dr. Mohan attended Ohio State University College of Medicine graduating in 1989. He completed training at Allegheny General Hospital. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease with a specialty certification in Nuclear Cardiology. He has held multiple teaching positions as well as received multiple awards for teaching.


James F. Shanahan, M.D.

Dr. Shanahan is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, graduating from Upper St. Clair in 1992. He attended the University of Notre Dame for undergraduate studies and Georgetown University for Medical School as well as Internal Medicine Residency. He completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh in 2006 before joining our practice. He performs diagnostic heart catheterizations, transesophageal echo and interpretation of nuclear imaging. He has a special interest in valvular heart disease.
